One Day Seminars

The monthly one-day seminars are designed with an emphasis on how concepts and ideas translate into practice, ways to address challenging moments in the therapy room and therefore aim to bring in greater appropriateness to every therapeutic encounter.

Counselor education seminars are held purely based on learning / training needs of students and practitioners which are within the scope of what ASTEP can offer. Lectures and discussions along with reading materials lead the seminars and the role-plays packed in between add an experiential component to learning.

Topics explored so far in seminars:

  • Addressing Self-Harm in Therapy
  • Group Therapy
  • Family Systems Theory
  • Ethics: The Spine of the Therapist
  • Self of Therapist: The Silent Core of Therapeutic Change
  • Applying Systemic Thinking in Therapy: Strategic Therapy
  • Narrative Therapy
  • Emotionally Focused Therapy
