Study Circle - Learner's Crucible

The study circle is an initiative to create a space for professionals and students to come together and talk 'systems theory, family therapy, human behaviour.' The space is for anyone to learn, share, and inspire each other. Basically, a crucible for learning.

The study circle group picks up a reading material and typically meets once a month. An initial reading cum discussion of the book followed by a focused elucidation constitutes the format of every session. Additionally, a copy of the book is made available at the sprouting library of ASTEP to be borrowed and read at leisure.

Our first round of study was with "Pragmatics of Human Communication: A Study of Interactional Patterns, Pathologies, and Paradoxes" by Watzlawick, Bavelas, and Jackson after which we turned our focus onto Susan Johnson's book "The Practice of Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy: Creating Connections."
